Since the start of the second intifada in 2001 ended the peace proces in the Middle East, the situation in the Palestinian territories has only worsened. All initiatives to get negotiations going, even democratic elections, withdrawal of the settlers in the Gazastrip, nothing has brought peace any closer. Since Israel started building a massive seperation wall to close off the Westbank, suicide attacks in Israel have virtually stopped. But the worsening of living standards in the Occupied Territories makes one wonder what results this will have in the future.
