About the photographers

Ronald de Hommel (1970) is a Dutch freelance photojournalist and documentary photographer based in Paris and Amsterdam.

He specializes in social issues mostly focussing on southern countries. Currently he works on several worldwide projects besides doing assignments for Dutch and international magazines and NGO’s. Part of his work is represented by the photo agencies: ANP Photo (Netherlands), Babel-Photo (France) and Lightmediation (France). More info.

Johannes Abeling (1977) is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He studied photography at the Royal Art Academy in The Hague. Since 1999 he works as a freelance-photographer for several newspapers, magazines and organisations.
